There’s always a but…somewhere

code, not writing - - Posted on January, 3 at 2:12 pm

I love writing.  I’ve loved writing since I was a very small girl, and its something I hope I’ll be able to continue to my dying day.  BUT (you knew this was coming right?) I’ve spent the whole of today working with my domains.

I own 508 domains names.  I don’t WANT most of them any more, but I still have them, so I have to do something with them.  Today, I spent most of the day setting up the ones I’m going to sell – including all the ‘superfluous’ domains that I bought thinking I’d need them.

Now, repeat after me.  Unless there’s a specific reason for having a .info, a .net, a .biz and the other domain extentions, I do NOT need to bulk buy them.  People cannot take traffic FROM me if I educate people as to what my domain name actually IS.  And no one types in .net when they’ve been told .com.

Keep repeating that mantra, its important.
